Wasn't able to retrieve anything from a scrambled Kodak 4GB SD-HC card from a friend's FujiFilm S1500; even the PC-Inspector Smart Recovery 4.5 couldn't use its Fast Mode; Thorough Mode finally got most of 30 AVIs and 47 JPGs, once I figured out to expand the maximum size to 1500MB (instead of 15MB default, which is a 20-sec. clip). PhotoRescue (Demo) got some, but couldn't save any without purchase.

I was favorably impressed but for the fact that the program failed to detect my Flash USB stick. I don't know why that was yet. I had hoped to retrieve some data from the stick.

unfortunately i was trying to copy a 4gb sd card,with a protected programme installed on it and this programme only supports up to a 2gb sd card,so would not work for me.

I really liked the interface and the fact the app was really easy to use without too many instructions. Unfortunately it didn't find any of the files I needed to recover (NEF's). I've managed to recover them with a different recovery programme, so I guess there may be a little more work to do on VAIOSoft!

The software needs to be improved

I have tried using VAIOSoft Recovery Manager V1 to recover images accidentally deleted on my Nikon D300. Unfortunately, RM wasn't be able to find any image to recover. Later I have used another software, and after all my images was been recovered. Thus, RM don't demonstrate itself in the best way...

Failing recovery of Pro Duo stick

The results of the recovery wasn't as expected.
Most other recovery software was able to recover > 100 files, Vaio failed to respond after the second file....

Is there a Mac version of this software?

According to the website where I downloaded the software, it was for Mac and PC (windows) platforms. What I downloaded was a .exe file which was no use to me as I have a Mac (running OSX). Is there in fact a Mac version of this software?

Simple but great application

Simple but great application. Was able to recover lost files in my CF card caused by an error in my Nikon D300.

Only 1200x1600 OK, 1600x1200 NOK

2 types of pictures are on my Sandisk :
1200x1600
1600x1200
Only the 1200x1600 pictures can be recovered OK.
The other pictures are recovered also but are shown in 160x120 but the file size looks correct.
Checked the header file of these incorrect files, and it's corrupt... So I guess the tool is doing something wrong.

So, basically I only recovered 2% of all my pictures.
Would be good to spend some time on looking into this but as the last update is already some time ago, doubt there's a solution to my problem.

cf formatting

CFs 32 MB (Canon) and 256 MB (Sandisk), after usage by takeMS 64in1 usb card-reader/writer could not be used by camera Canon Powershot G2 anymore (E50 error).

CFs can be used by pc regularly.

CFs can not be reformatted by camera itself.

Windows XP reformatting, either FAT or FAT32, was not successful.

VAIOSoft Recovery Manager V1 did the job of recovery, but also failed to reformat the cfs (reformatting process almost completed (97 %), but then error occured).

- but freeze... I think this SDCard was KO

I had great success with this product in Win 98 and Win ME.
Win XP home installed but will not run ... can't load virtual driver so no review for this environment.
I recovered deleted files in SD and pen drives.
